Choose between reverse osmosis and alkaline water. Both waters are available in store and at our 24hrs vending machines.
What is Reverse Osmosis Water?
Reverse osmosis water, or RO water, is a highly pure water produced by filtration through a series of filters and semi-permeable membrane. It is a clean drinking water commonly used for consumption, cooking making coffee, for pets and in most applications that call for distilled water.
Several pollutants are removed from the water including lead, asbestos, microorganisms, sediments, bacteria fluorides, chlorides, sulphates, heavy metals industrial chemicals, pesticides, micro-plastics and pharmaceuticals. RO water is nearly 99% pure water!
The benefits of drinking reverse osmosis water includes:
- High contaminant purification level
- Better taste
- Reduces water borne diseases
- More economical than purchasing bottled water
- More environmentally friendly then bottled water.
What is Alkaline Water?
Alkaline refers to the pH level. The pH level measures how acidic or alkaline a substance is on a scale of 0 to 14. A pH of 1 would be very acidic and a pH of 13 would be very alkaline. Neutral is considered to be a level of 7.
Regular drinking water or tap water is normally neutral. Reverse osmosis water is typically slightly acidic at approximately 6 and alkaline water is typically 8 to 9.
Alkaline water is much more than just water with a higher pH. It is pure reverse osmosis water that has been passed through additional filters to add back trace alkaline minerals such as calcium and magnesium. In addition, alkaline water has a negative oxidation reduction potential (ORP),therefore acting as an antioxidant.
Proponents of alkaline water believe in its proposed health benefits. These include:
- Anti-again properties
- Immune system support
- Colon-cleansing properties
- Hydration, skin health, detoxifying properties
- Weight loss
- Cancer resistance
- Aids digestion
- Reduces fatigue, increases energy levels
- Benefits to those with high blood pressure, diabetes and cholesterol
In order to achieve the best results we have installed an up to date state of the art system in order to produce consistent alkaline water.
We regularly monitor and maintain a TDS (total dissolved solids) reading of around 25-35ppm and a pH of 8.5-9.0
